3 Ways To Feel Happier, Healthier and More Beautiful (By Next Week!)

1) Prioritize Sleep

If you haven't been feeling like your best self, there has to be a reason for it. Most of us will blame something or someone outside of our control for this problem...but that usually isn't the truth. 

YOU have the power to create a better life and to live in a better mindset. If you are struggling to stay positive, be productive, or just tackle daily life, try prioritizing your sleep for just one week and see the difference!

You will be amazed at how adequate sleep can transform your life. Create a bedtime ritual for yourself with exact times that you will be:

1) Getting ready for bed

2) Laying down to relax with a book or other non-tech activity

3) Putting everything away and getting to sleep


Make sure these times are early! To really transform your life, getting at least 8 hours of sleep a night is key. 

In a few days, this routine will begin to sink in, and within the week, a huge change in your mood, mindset, and ease of daily life will take place!

2) Drink Your Water

According to the Institute of Medicine, up to 75% of Americans are considered chronically dehydrated. Think about that! Our bodies are composed of 60% water, our brain is 85% water! If we don't fuel our bodies with what we are made of, how can we expect them to run as we hope?

If you are not getting enough water in your day (about 10 cups a day!) this may be a big reason why you are not feeling like you are performing as your top self.

But don't worry! There are plenty of ways to get in all that liquid gold in your day. Try:

1) Drinking a big bottle of water when you wake up each morning. Fill it up before you go to bed and it is ready to go!

2) Trade a cup of coffee or a soda for a class of water at least once each day. (You will be thankful!)

3) Make water something you LOVE! Try infusing water with delicious fruits or berries or buying/making carbonated versions. Just be sure to avoid any sugar or sweeteners!

Though this may seem difficult at first, after a few days of getting the adequate amount of water, you will feel SO different! Your body will work quicker and easier and so will your mind.

Not to mention all the long term benefits of drinking enough water, like great looking skin!

3) Take A Break

Life gets crazy. We are all pulled in a million different directions until we feel like we will never get ahead! This is exhausting and can take a real toll on how you feel in general. 

So what can we do about it? Well as much as it would be nice to just drop all responsibilities and run away to the beach, we often can't. But there are a few things you can do each day that can help you take a mental break. Then get back to being your best self!

1) Short meditation can go a long way. Even if you only have five minutes in the morning or in the evening to sit down in a quiet place and let go of your thoughts, it can make a big difference. There are TONS of great YouTube videos or apps to help you along.

2) Get outside and enjoy nature. Take a stroll in the park or go on a longer hike out of town. Your body is naturally more in tune with nature than it is with the crazy lives we live, so this can be very relaxing.

3) Enjoy a long breakfast....sitting down! Try waking up a few minutes early in order to be able to make a really nice breakfast, sit down at the table, and enjoy it! Something so simple can start off the day on a good foot and really make a huge difference if you integrate it in your normal routine. 


These are just a few ideas to get you started but there are MANY ways to allow yourself to take a step back and take a break. Your brain will be so thankful, and you will notice a big difference in how you go about handling other situations that life throws at you.
