That mundane daily grind...

We all feel it sometimes when doing the same thing every day. Never a moment of time to relax or feel on top of things. 

But taking the time to make real and lasting improvements for yourself is important! These changes don't have to be monumental; they can be quite subtle and still make a world of difference. 

Want to feel renewed, refreshed, and healthier than ever? Try adopting one or more of these great "Better You Challenges" and feel the power of change!

The Rules...

In order to get the most out of creating changes for yourself, try following these simple rules. 

1) Try each challenge for at least 1 week, no quitting, no slipping up, just commitment.

2) Once the week is up, sit down and evaluate if the change has been a positive one for your life. If so, try another week and evaluate again! If not, try a different challenge. 

The goal is that the change brings value to your life with your individual circumstances. 

This one is simple. Our bodies are made up of mostly water, and most Americans are severely dehydrated in their daily lives due to the fact that we don't make consuming water a priority.

Try these tips:
-Drink an entire bottle of water right when you get up in the morning
-Drink another glass or two as you eat your morning meal
-Fill another bottle for lunch time...and drink it!
-Ditch that afternoon dull feeling and drink another glass of water!

If you take active steps to integrate water consumption into your life, you will be amazed at how easy it will become to drink the proper amount...and also how amazing you feel because of it!
Added sugar is everywhere in our lives. It is one of the main culprits of our terrifying rates of obesity in America, and could also be the culprit to you feeling tired or fatigued throughout your day.

Cutting sugar is a tough challenge due to the fact that sugar is added to nearly EVERYTHING we eat. Start checking nutrition labels. Is sugar an ingredient? If it is, it is added in simply for taste and is unnecessary.

Be mindful of the crazy names they use for sugar on labels as well! (dextrose, cane syrup, evaporated cane juice, high-fructose corn syrup and many more)

Try cutting your sugar consumption to below 30 grams of sugar each day. This will be difficult at first, but once you find the right foods and your favorite snacks, it will be easy!

Remember, sugar is natural in some foods such as fruit. This is a great option for a sweet snack!
This one may seem a little extreme to some, but cutting meat out of your life, or at least limiting your consumption, can lead to some great health benefits. The number 1 killer of Americans is heart disease, much of it caused by excessive meat consumption that has become part of our lives.

Try mixing it up a bit! Use meat alternatives such as soy curls, tempeh, seitan, or other items made of wheat gluten. There are so many meat alternatives to choose from, you will be amazed!

Bonus: It is a blast to play around with your favorite recipes and find meatless ways to make them still delicious, and more nutritious, too!

If an entire week is too much, try a meatless day of the week for a month, or a few days a week. Even this change can make a huge difference.
