The first step to bright, glowing skin for summer is to know how to properly clean your face. Summer is the time when dirt, oils, and sunscreen tend to clog our pores. Cleansing is necessary everyday.

In the summer, try using foaming cleansers rather than creamy ones. These helps to lightly lift the dirt and sunscreen from the face and leave your skin clean and breathable.
Exfoliating is necessary year round, but in the summer it is important to exfoliate more often. Again, dirt and sunscreen can get down deep in the pores and need a little extra help to be removed.

Try exfoliating with your favorite scrub, brush, or device at least twice a week in the summer. Your skin will thank you and will be less likely to be sensitive to exfoliation or dry out like it does in the winter.
There are some skin care treatments that you just can't get right at home. Trusting the professionals at your local spa is important and can really give your skin a head start this summer.

Try asking for a microdermabrasion or treatment that removes the damaged top layer of your skin.

Get rid of that pesky "peach-fuzz" on your face with a dermaplane or resurfacing treatment.

Deeply hydrate your skin with a specialized facial such as the Oxy Trio Facial or Hydrofacial.
While you are at the spa, make sure to ask our aesthetician which products are best for your skin type. Some key items you should have for summer are:

A duo moisturizer/sunscreen. This will keep your skin healthy and protected in one step; so long as the product includes SPF 30 or higher. Many of these products are also tinted, so ditch that foundation too and have one simple 1-and-done product!

Keeping your skin hydrated is important in the summer heat. Make sure you have a vitamin C serum or ultra hydrating serum in your daily skin maintenance regimen to give your skin a drink of water everyday.
*Your results may vary.
