In The Know: CoolSculpting Treatments

Get the Facts

Are you entirely happy with the contours of your body?

Although diet and exercise are great options for fat loss, sometimes our efforts seem to go without the desired result. Think love handles, saddle bags, fat under the chin, to name a few. Needless to say, fat is stubborn, and with diet and exercise, you cannot spot reduce these trouble areas.

You have options. Some treatment options require invasive procedures that will leave you in recovery for weeks or even months. Coolsculpting is a non-invasive option that freezes away those stubborn areas that choose to stick around, all while you lay in a comfy bed, playing on your iPad or watching your favorite Netflix shows.

Want to know more? Here are a few things you need to know about Coolsculpting and if it's the right choice for you!

CoolSculpting® is an innovative fat reduction treatment that has become the world's number one non-invasive fat reduction procedure.

The remarkable treatment works by gathering excess fat in a device that suctions the area tightly within. Then, the cool part! The temperature begins to decline which carefully allows the fat cells beneath the skin to freeze, all while leaving the skin and other surrounding areas unharmed. The frozen fat cells are discarded naturally by the body over time, slimming those stubborn areas and allowing beautiful contours to start shaping.*

Areas of the body that CoolSculpting® can treat include the abdomen, under the chin, bra fat, thighs, upper arm, back, flank/side, and underneath the buttocks. What areas would you check off?

*Results for each treatment may vary from person to person.
If you are interested in CoolSculpting® you first need to make sure to do the research and find a provider near you. Individual providers are specifically trained to administer CoolSculpting®, so make sure they are certified. Once you determine where you would like to go, you begin with a consultation. The professional will sit down and talk with you to determine which areas you want to target, what your body type is, and how to get the results you desire most efficiently*

*Results for each treatment may vary from person to person.
You will first need a professional consultation. Here you can get all your questions answered, share your areas of concern, and receive guidance on a proper treatment plan. You can expect that areas will need to be treated more than once for optimal results. It is an investment in yourself, and when you follow your treatment plan, you are far more likely to be completely satisfied with your results.

During your appointment, the provider will attach a gel pad and applicator to the treatment area. It will feel cool to the skin, and you will remain relatively comfortable. Once the treatment begins, the applicator sends controlled cooling to the targeted area to gradually freeze stubborn fat cells.

During your treatment, you can read, spend time online, watch some television, or even take a nap! Most patients admit the treatment feels extremely cold, which can be uncomfortable until the area becomes numb. Some also experience a pulling or tugging sensation due to the skin being pulled in tight, like a vacuum, inside the applicator. However, blankets and a cozy bed help make the whole experience bearable and even relaxing.
Most people see results in as little as 1 or 2 treatments. Remember, CoolSculpting® requires no needles or surgery, only takes an hour of your time and requires little no downtime. The treatment area may be slightly sore, but after treatment, you can go about your day as usual while you wait for your body to eliminate those frozen fat cells.*

*Results for each treatment may vary from person to person.
Patients may experience temporary numbness, redness, or swelling in the treatment area. The feeling may only last a few hours after treatment. Often results are seen in as little as three weeks post-treatment, though most people will notice significant changes one to three months afterward.*
