How They Work

Coolsculpting and Emsculpt are both excellent treatments that can give the body a more sleek, contoured appearance. However, they work in two different ways!

Coolsculpting works to freeze and eliminate fat through the use of targeting cooling technology. This treatment is applied through a cooling applicator and is designed to eliminate fat cells. Just one single treatment can reduce fat by up to 25%!

Emsculpt sculpts the body by both eliminating fat AND building muscle. This treatment works through the application of High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic energy, which stimulates muscle contraction and reduces fat. This treatment can stimulate muscle mass increases of up to 16th and fat reduction of up to 19%.

Both of these treatments work to reduce fat, while Emsculpt also builds muscle. Which might be right for you depending on the area you would like to treat and your desired results!

Treatment Areas

Both Coolsculpting and Emsculpt offer a wide variety of treatable areas. The abdomen area is our most treated area here at Catalyst! It’s very common for a patient to need a few cycles of Coolsculpting on the abdomen before the Emsculpt treatment. This helps “de-bulk” some fat before muscle toning. The combination of these two treatments offer a beautiful, tight, contoured look!

With Coolsculpting, we can treat anywhere from the chin to the knees. We use a smaller applicator to treat arm fat and submental fat beneath the chin. For the abdomen, love handles, and thighs we use a larger applicator.

With Emsculpt, we treat by muscle group! We can treat the abdomen, glutes, calves, biceps, and triceps with Emsculpt.

Treatment Time

They both require multiple treatments to see results! Coolsculpt usually require 1-3 treatments, depending on how many areas you are treating. The treatments should be about 6-12 weeks apart. Each Coolsculpting treatment takes between 35 minutes to an hour.

Emsculpt requires a series of 4 treatments, each of which should be done 2-3 days apart. Treatments for abdomen, glutes, and calves are 30-minutes each. Arm treatments are 40 minutes each, 20 minutes treating biceps, 20 minutes treating triceps.

When Do You See Results?

You have to be a bit patient with both of these treatments. With Coolsculpting, patients will start to see results around 4-6 weeks after their first treatment, with full results around 12 weeks after their last treatment.

For Emsculpt, results come a bit quicker. You will FEEL the results immediately after the treatment and physically see them around 2 weeks after your treatment is complete.

Pricing

The big question… What’s the price tag?! Coolsculpting price varies on how many treatments/treatment areas you choose to purchase. However, each cycle is $750 and typically our patients receive 4-10 cycles! We also offer packages and VIP pricing during special events.

Emsculpt is sold in a series of 4 treatments. We will have you come in twice a week, for two weeks to be treated. The package at Catalyst is sold for $2500, however, we offer VIP pricing on this package as well! We can now treat abs, glutes, arms, and calves with Emsculpt! Watch our Facebook and Instagram pages for specials and events happening at Catalyst.

Which Is Right For You?

While there are differences between how these two treatments work and how the patients experiences them, the most important thing to consider when comparing them is which is right for your unique body and figure!

If you’re considering trying either of these treatments, it’s best to schedule a consultation with one of our sculpting experts! They will fully asses your body, go over pricing details, and design a custom treatment plan to help you reach your health and beauty goals.
